Prince's Road to Recovery

Last week, our dear friend and brother, Prince Conley went to the hospital for shortness of breath and chest pains. He was in hypertensive crisis and diagnosed with pneumonia. After being unable to lower his stroke-level blood pressure, additional scans revealed an aortic dissection that could rupture at any moment. Prince was airlifted to Northside Gwinnett Hospital’s Cardiovascular Unit for emergency open-heart surgery. It is truly a miracle that Prince is still with us as survival after a ruptured aorta is unlikely.

Prince is facing a lengthy recovery. It will be several months before he can return to his life as an active, loving father to four young children and doting husband to his wife of 8 years.

Prince's recovery will come with many challenges for his family as his wife, Alena assumes the role of his full time caregiver and the sole income provider.

We are hoping their village can help the family focus on healing, rather than hardship. Every dollar will be used to purchase meals for a family of six (6), child care, transportation, medical treatments not covered by insurance and rehabilitation therapy. As the Conley's navigate this uncertain time, let's surround them with love and support. Any gift is a blessing and greatly appreciated.
