It is with every bit of strength my heart can gather at this moment, that I must announce the loss of my beloved mother, Ana Maria Garcia. As our family and friends say their goodbyes I ask that we all remember her as the truly amazing woman she was and will forever be.
My dear mother was born May of 1961. She had humble beginnings throughout her childhood in Guatemala and later in life became a mother of five children. Ana was a single mother and worked full time until she was no longer able to work due to her health.
Ten years ago, she suffered an aneurysm that although did not take her life, left her a different person. She always had a quiet and soft spirit, smiled, and learned to live with her disabilities. But on Mother's Day, she was rushed to the hospital with another rupture in her brain. Again, it did not take her life but she was in pain.
By Monday, she had three more ruptures and could not fight anymore. There was absolutely nothing the doctors could do at this point. Her children had to make the devastating decision to let her go in peace on May 14th, 2018.
Our hearts hope she is whole again, in the company of our Lord, and we know that she is no longer suffering. We are heartbroken by this tragic event and we appreciate your support and your prayers during this difficult time. We have set up this account to help with the funeral expenses and graciously ask for any donations you might find in your heart to give.
Mami, we love you and we miss you already. May God have you in His glory and peace.
