It breaks my heart to write this. On June 20, I adopted the tan puppy on the left (Banjo) and my boyfriend, Bennie, adopted the white puppy in the middle (Apollo) from a local animal shelter. Banjo and Apollo are brothers, and they are about 9 weeks old. Last Saturday, Banjo stopped eating and became very lethargic. He ended up having Parvovirus. We did everything we could to save him. This included taking Banjo back to the shelter to receive emergency treatment, but Banjo passed away early Thursday morning. The shelter allowed us to have Banjo and Apollo’s sister Paisley (on the right) to try to fill the hole in our hearts. However, yesterday Apollo stopped eating as well. We took him to an emergency vet and it turns out he also has Parvo. We are asking for help to get the treatment that Apollo needs. We will most likely need treatment for Paisley as well, as she has also been exposed. If the vet is able to treat the puppies, the chance of recovery is almost 90%, but the vet costs can be roughly $4,000 or more per puppy. Please, anything helps.
