Hello, My name is Matthew. I know the story I am about to tell sounds like a bad TV show, but I'm going to give it a shot.
My wife, Liz, has lived an incredible life and touched many people along the way. Even though she is passing before the age of thirty I know she is leaving a giant wake of sorrow and people who will miss her greatly behind. We met, fell in love, and made it work under the impossible circumstances of military life. We had just recently started our journey into familyhood with the birth of our daughter Katie just weeks before Liz was admitted into intesive care for a pulmonary embolism which caused a severe brain trauma and ultimately led to her death. Now, I am left a single father to mourn a mother that Katie will never know.
But, enough sadness for now. Liz was amazing, she helped put me back together when we met hard times. Has helped numerous friends and family when they were in need, usually with the shirt off our backs, but I never minded because I knew she would still be there waiting for me after one of us came back from... something. She will even be helping more people, namely complete strangers, after her passing by donating her organs and tissues to science, reaserch, and lifesaving procedures. I could not have loved a greater caregiver than her, afterall she did marry ME.... Twice.... I hope that those of you reading this understand what I mean when I say I truly loved and will miss Liz.
I am Creating this go fund me to supplement our medical bills for what remains from the birth of Katie as well as the passing of Liz and any remainder will be saved as part of Katie's college fund. I do not know yet the entire extent of these medical bills but, I am aware that my normal health insurance will not cover all of it. Please, help me keep a roof over our heads until these stormclouds clear, so I can continue with the tradition of helping those that need it, as I know Liz would want me to continue doing.
Thank you,
Matthew
