I want to share the story of an incredible man, my dad, Jeremy. For over twenty years, he’s been the heart and soul of our family. His commitment to us is evident in every long hour he has worked, putting in over fifty hours a week, simply because that’s who he is. An extraordinary father and provider, he has dedicated his life to ensuring we have everything we need. My dad embodies hard work, dedication, and love. He’s the kind of man who would give you the food off his plate or the shirt off his back if he thought it would help.

Everything changed for us when, at the end of August, what started as what we thought was heat exhaustion turned into a string of issues and hospital visits. His first hospital visit on September 17th simply noted heat exhaustion. On October 9th, he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, experiencing dizziness, concerningly low oxygen levels, blackouts, difficulty breathing, and numbness. Despite these symptoms, they dismissed him, saying it was a panic attack, and sent him home. On October 14th, while my parents were out of state four hours away, my dad went to the emergency room once again. At that hospital, they diagnosed him with a stroke and brain aneurysm. He was discharged just two days later. As of the 21st, he has been readmitted for the same symptoms, where he is currently staying.

Now, our family's reality is different. My dad struggles to drive the truck he’s always dreamed of owning, the one he purchased only two years ago. And even worse, he can no longer work. This has been a hard transition for all of us, but especially for him. He’s always identified as a hardworking man. The stress that’s come with all of this is overwhelming for everyone. That’s why we’re reaching out. We are asking for donations to help cover groceries and bills while my dad navigates the process of applying for social security.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference right now. Your generosity will help us through this stressful time, allowing us to focus on supporting my dad through his recovery without the worry of finances. We appreciate any support during these hard and scary times, whether it be in the form of a donation or prayers.
