On Thursday, August 9th, Charlie awoke to the strong smell of burning wood permeating through his apartment. He trusted his instinct and called 911, just in time for smoke to begin accumulating in his room, leading to the evacuation of his entire building. As the firefighters rushed in, Charlie watched the smoke increase, and quickly found out that the beams in his apartment had been smoldering for hours from an electrical fire.
He no longer has a place to call home and the soot and ash have potentially contaminated all of his belongings with asbestos. I'm hoping to help Charlie alleviate some financial burden with this fundraiser.
