Hi, I'm Autumn and I'm fundraising to help with the cost of surgery that my cat Dexter needs. I set the goal at 4000 because the beginning estimate is 3800 and up.
Dexter is a 6 year old foster fail that I've had since he was Itty bitty. He has recently been diagnosed with stomatitis. He's suffered from bouts of vomiting for the past couple of years and the Dr says it's due to him having stomatitis. As it turns out, this condition is extremely painful and we had no idea because animals hide pain so well.
Stomatitis is a chronic condition where it is thought that his immune system is constantly attacking his teeth and gums where any kind of tartar can be. The only current cure is removal of all his teeth. I know this seems extreme but cats can live happy healthy lives with no teeth and he would no longer be in pain.
We want to get back our playful loving Dexter kitty so he can live a long pain-free life.
We have an appointment for the procedure in March at a veterinary office with a Dr who specializes in animal dentistry.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
