Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge
Members of ITC 400 Tp, Medical Centre and Training Support Platoon (TSP) are challenging ourselves to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on 14 Aug 24.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks are arranged in a triangle, with the River Ribble and two minor B roads between them. The total walking distance is 39.2 km (24.5 miles). The Yorkshire Three Peaks include Pen-y-Ghent at 694 meters, Whernside at 734 metres and Ingleborough at 723 meters. Maximum time allowed for Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge is 12 Hours, however we are aiming to complete it under 10 Hours.
The aim is to raise morale, team cohesion, physical stamina and confidence within the battalion headquarter while at the same time raising money to give back and help the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT).
GWT is a charity organisation who provides financial, medical and developmental aid to Gurkha veterans, their families and community. Together we are fundraising and all proceeds will go to the Gurkha veterans where even a small amount makes a big difference in Nepal.
Thank you (Dhanyabad)
