I’m Amy,

Over the past year my health took a nosedive. I started losing a ton of weight, felt super nauseous every time I ate, and had awful abdominal pain. It dragged on for months until the pain got so bad I landed in the hospital three times in the last 3 months. This last stay they ended up removing a portion of my colon and now I’m living with an ostemy bag. I’m still healing, and it’s been a lot to handle emotionally and physically.

Our insurance has helped some but our deductible is insane and we are still paying excessive amounts for each doctors appointment and infusion session I go to.

Because of all this, I had to quit my job. I just couldn’t keep up with work anymore and the stress of it all was making my symptoms worse. My husband (and our family) has been amazing by stepping up taking care of the kids and working full time but he’s about to start school again for his last semester and won’t be able to work until the start of next year. We’re stuck with a pile of medical bills and struggling to pay rent, utilities, and buy groceries. This GoFundMe is our lifeline to get through this rough patch.

We’re hoping to raise any amount to help with:

• Medical bills from my hospital stays and surgery and infusion sessions.

• Monthly bills like rent and groceries while I recover.
