Hello... my name is Cassey. For those of you who know me personally, you have surely met Luka. .

About 4 years ago, I came across a picture of this sweet little dog in what looked like a cold, damp basement.

My brother & I went, I think it was like a week later, and we picked the dog up. (Originally called Casper)

Let's fast forward a little to TODAY:

A week ago, Luka started to get very sick. He threw up every drop of water that he drank almost immediately & he would not eat.

My mom & I took him to the vet a couple days ago, and an xray showed us that he does in fact need surgery. He apparently ate something that he just cannot pass.

Lukie can atleast hold water down, but he still has not eaten.

We were quoted the surgery to be around 5k-7k.

Four years ago, I thought I was doing the rescuing. In reality, Luka was the one who was saving me.

He quickly became not just mine, but my son's best friend. He is the best dog, so gentle and so kind. He deserves more time.
