My cousin Kayla was in a life threatening car accident last weekend. She is currently battling multiple injuries in a hospital in Dayton, Ohio (6 hours from home). By her side are her mom, dad, and sister, Emily. She suffered multiple internal and external injuries, has endured two long and complicated surgeries, and has a long recovery ahead of her. Her most devastating injury is a traumatic brain injury. The long term goal would be to get her to a facility that specializes in this area of recovery and to get her closer to home (There is such a place in Tennessee) . Insurance will not pay for her to be transported. Not only are her parents taking time off of work to be with her, but she will not be able to work for many months to come. This adds enormous financial stress to all of them. 
Kayla is a sweet, caring, music loving, hula-hoopin, funny, young lady with a long life to look forward to. I am hoping to ease some of the financial burden of this accident so her and her family can focus on recovery and that alone!
