Help for Taylor

Taylor went into the hospital on Weds, 4/13, with seizures that wouldn't stop over four days. Although he's had seizures for years and my family is used to managing them, these were new, and his medications completely stopped working. Every 5-10 minutes, he would have a mini grand mal, and his heart rate would plummet down to 20 or less.
When they could no longer manage at home (with the remote help of his neurologist team), they brought him to the ER. Immediately upon arrival, he was also diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. Over the next two days, they determined his body couldn't keep up the fight, so they put him on a respirator and in a medically induced coma.
Taylor is a warrior, and after a few days, they were able to start weaning him off the sedation. Initial signs indicate that his new seizure meds are working to control the seizures, and an MRI showed there wasn't any new damage as a result of the events. The pneumonia remains, so he will have to stay on the ventilator for the time being. Additionally, he has developed fevers, and they can't find the source of the infection.
I'm asking for help on behalf of my family because I don't want them to worry about the mounting expenses they will be facing, without the ability to work. On top of the medical bills, they live an hour from the hospital, so they have the added cost of staying at a nearby hotel every night. For 28 years, there have been no fiercer protectors and advocates than my parents. When you have a child who can't speak for themselves, it becomes your life's mission. They won't go home until he does.
Every day brings something new, and we don't know where the road will lead (or how long it will be), but we remain hopeful~ grounded in Faith, and we will continue to celebrate every victory. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love, prayers and support. It truly means the world, especially in times like these.
