A long way home

Hello, my name is Shawn, my puppers, Alfie Duffus the Great 

 and 

I are trying to get back home, to Wild Wonderful West Virginia where I grew up and he has never been. My home for 11 years and his for 4 on Fort Myers Beach was taken away from us by Hurricane Ian. He and I are pretty messed up as we did not believe by reports and information we would need to leave the island until the ones we needed were coming in far too late, and we lost everything. I'm not real good at any of this, but need help. A vehicle to get us 

back home I have purchased can not make the trip without repairs of which are much more than I thought and now I'm faced with a new problem. Along with fuel needs and repairs, nothing more is the help I pray for.
