YIP Foundation Start Up

We are a start up non-profit organization that will be providing programs and services, to the residents of Prince George's County and the surrounding area, helping to improve the socio-economic landscape of said residents.  As a person adopted at a young age, and a survivor of multiple categories of abuse and trauma, who worked her way off of the welfare system, I know first hand the difficulty in trying to navigate my way out of the darkness of the social services system.  I am creating this foundation as a conduit where all people who are interested, regardless of their socio-economic background, can receive assistance in their own process to navigate their climb to the next rung on their socio-economic ladder. The monies raised in this campaign will be used for the following purposes:  1. To establish our Articles of Incorporation  2. To fund the 501(c)3 application process  3. Membership to FoundationCenter.org which allows access to their national database of grants and RFP opportunities.   4. and other foundational supports
