Donation protected
Hello everyone!
Thank you very much for your generous donations! The time has come for us: this week we are leaving our beloved home "Tallevana" to meet the world. You will hear from us when we are back!

Love, your Yippies <3

Hey, we are the YIP16 participants :)

The Youth Initiative Program (YIP) is an anthroposophical inspired educational program based in Järna (Sweden). The aim of YIP is to support people grow as individuals and find out how we can help the world. In the coming spring we will have the opportunity to go on internships located all around the world. This experience will allow us to meet inspiring people as well as learning from different cultures.

To be able to finance our travel costs and accommodation abroad, we are doing different fundraisers like crafting postcards, selling apple juice, hosting a big light festival on 3rd of December, and this GoFundMe that you are on right now.

We would be incredibly grateful for your support!

On this page we will keep you updated about our process and share with you some of our experiences when we will be back after our internships…

Lots of love <3
Your YIP16

Our Internship Locations:

Uttarakhand, India - Navdanya

Navdanya’s learning centre is dedicated to education for sustainable living and earth citizenship which is located at Navdanya Biodiversity Conservation Farm in Doon Valley, Uttarakhand, nestled between the Ganga and the Yamuna, the Shivalik and Himalayan mountain ranges. Navdanya has created a biodiversity sanctuary for birds, butterflies, insects and soil microorganisms, through saving more than 1500 varieties of seeds and trees. Here, nature in its diversity and dynamism is the highest teacher. We draw inspiration from India’s ancient Aranya Sanskruti – of learning from nature and forests for how to live as Vasudhaiva Kutumbukam (The Earth family). Yippies will be saving/storing seeds, harvesting, cooking, and cleaning food from the gardens and preserving knowledge.

Zimbabwe - Kufunda Village

Kufunda is an eco-village and a learning village that works with rural communities in Zimbabwe, supporting them in returning to a sense of wealth and wisdom in practical ways. Their learning of working with what they have has been expressed through eco-building, working with herbs and natural foods, biodynamic farming, and a Waldorf Inspired school. Among other things, yippies will be working in the Waldorf school, gardening in community vegetable beds, walking around in community outreach, and learning about traditional herbal medicine.

Vilnius, Lithuania - Movement Vilnius

Movement Vilnius (MOVI) is a movement school born of the need to rethink physical culture. They support and promote the idea of universal movement culture by providing the tools, methods and daily practices necessary for the realization of this idea. The focus of the learning placement is about physical movement/literacy as a way to work with health, communication and expression as human beings. They are a small team who created the concept and organization, and so their way of working is based on non-linear power structures and integrates the concept of apprenticeship and working with others. Yippies there will take various workshops and classes exploring movement, all in Lithuanian!
