Please Help an Army Veteran

Hello friends and family. I come to you humbly and ask for assistance for my family. My brother Bobby is in need of support as he is getting ready to have a liver transplant surgery. I ask on behalf of our family because he has always been there not only for family but for anyone. Those who know him, know he would give you the shirt off his back. Please read his words and find it in your heart to help him.

“I have secretly suffered from PTSD for the past 21 yrs and drank alcohol in excess to cope with the loss of my brother's that I served with in Iraq. I became sober on January 22,2022 but the damage to my liver had already begun. I retired from the Army after 22 yrs of service and started working again but was fired because the ammonia toxins were not being filtered through my liver. It was poisoning my blood and killing the red blood cells and affecting my brain function, hence I was having emotional anxiety attacks and ended up getting me fired from work in April of 2023. That's when the Dr's told me that I needed a liver transplant. So, I was unable to get a job for almost 5 months due to excessive Dr's Apts. Thus, I had to use all of my savings and maxed out my credit cards. I finally got a job during the night so I can continue with the Dr's Apts during the day. I am trying but haven't been able to catch up on bills and debt. I finally am getting on the transplant list out of Houston TX but the surgery and recovery will be at least 2 months inpatient in Houston. This will not help me with bills and debt. I hate to have to ask for help financially, but I have no other way because my liver is now affecting my kidney function, and the Dr's are expediting the surgery.
