Dear Family & Friends of Jim & Donna ...

Donna‘s husband, Jim Pearson, has been involved in a horrible horse accident; He fell off a horse and as he was falling, pulled the horse down with him - the saddle horn broke his sternum (as well as several ribs). Although he was wearing a helmet, the impact knocked him out cold (and he has not yet woken up).  Jim was airlifted to St. Pats in Missoula, where he is in ICU.

The fact that Jim has yet to wake up has Doctor’s very concerned, as they think he has a “deep brain injury”.  Because he cannot communicate, and they can’t question him to evaluate him further, they are doing CT scans to monitor him.  Currently the neurologist has him listed in “stable condition”.

(We feel it important to mention that the horses on the property are all professionally trained for any rider to be aboard. Jim is a cautious rider and very gentle with the horses.  Donna and Jim always wear their helmets when they’re riding, that is a must!!  The horse was awesome and steered clear of him when she was getting up.)

Making matters worse, health insurance has become un-affordable in the state of Montana for an independent contractor. In all of Donna’s life she has always had health insurance, until recently. She could no longer afford the outrageous premiums Totaling upwards of $24K per year, plus deductibles of approximately $6500 each. She knew she was taking a chance letting her insurance lapse, and she was right.

(The Pearson’s are kind and generous for everyone, and would never ask for help for themselves - so I’m asking on their behalf. )

As you all know, Donna is the sole provider for their household (as Jim has the grueling task of keeping the ranch in tip-top shape)...  Her clients are of her utmost importance and she will be conducting business from her laptop as she sits by Jims side in ICU.

We appreciate any words of positive support, all your prayers, and if you can spare any monetary value - it would be so much appreciated!  His road to recovery is unknown at this time. But if we know Jim, he is fighting like a madman inside of his own head right now. There’s no way he will go down without a fight.
