URGENT UPDATE: Thank you for all who have donated!

My goal to raise $5K has now been increased to $10,000 and here is why:

**Laura's bill are coming in and she's expecting to reach as much as $51,000 in costs for cancer removal, reconstructive surgery, testing and treatment.

**Unfortunately, her insurance will only cover $8,800 total in these costs.

**While she has applied for state & private assistance, she is facing many road blocks and is unsure if she will be able to qualify at this point.

Laura is beyond grateful for all of the donations she's received so far and those donations have helped her in paying small portions of the bills that continue to stream in. She is still undergoing treatment and continues to heal from this ordeal...

With urgency, I am asking for anyone who has dealt with breast cancer or knows someone who has to donate any amount within comfort as well as encourage others to donate by sharing this link.

Hello Friends and Family,

Laura is one of my best friends and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Due to the severity of her diagnosis, surgery was immediately scheduled for a lumpectomy. Laura has already been struggling with ongoing health issues for several years and it's taken a toll both mentally and financially.

Because her surgery was scheduled so quickly, she is still unsure what is covered by her plan, if anything at all. To add to matters, Laura is now looking at several months of post-operative treatment which will likely include radiation and chemotherapy. This will cause additional financial stress as she will need transportation to and from treatments, time off of work for such treatments (she has already exhausted her PTO time at work) and potentially all or a large part of the cost of the actual surgery PLUS additional co-pays for post-op treatment.

I have known Laura most of my life and consider her a sister to me. I am asking for assistance for her financially because I know it is desperately needed and want to make sure she is able to get through this process of fighting breast cancer. The relief financially will help relieve the stress of going into serious debt while battling her disease.

My goal is to raise $5,000 to cover at least a small portion of what she is looking at in costs. Any and all donations to help Laura are greatly appreciated as she navigates through this process.
