Without hesitation, Matt and Shera Mondoux are always the first to help friends, family, and those in need, yet they are never willing to ask for help themselves. On their behalf, their friends and family have set up this account in the hopes of offering the assistance that they would never dream of asking for.
Matt Mondoux is a veteran having served # battle missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Since being honorably discharged, he has been grinding away in the food and beverage industry to provide for his family. At the same time, Matt has given to others through his commitment to running various charities, including successfully walking from Grand Island to New York City to raise awareness and funding for ALS.
Matt is currently in the middle of a career change, working to complete a 4yr degree in business so he can make a better life for his wife and two young children. His plans have come to a halt. After receiving a routine MRI through the VA, as veterans and active military are required to do, nobody expected anything out of the ordinary. But when the results came back, a 5cm mass appeared in his kidney. Further testing revealed that the mass is cancerous, and that the best option is to remove the tumor before the cancer has a chance to metastasize and spread throughout his body. Not only is Matt’s career change on hold, but to add to his family’s mounting stress the doctors have instructed Matt to stop working all together in preparation for his surgery. In the midst of raising their two young children, Shera is working so hard to make up for lost income. But those bills keep rolling in and the reality of their situation weighs heavily both emotionally and financially.
We couldn’t just stand by and watch Shera and Matt struggle without doing something to help, especially considering how much they have given to help so many others in charity, friendship, and love. We know how many friends will feel the same way, which is why we ask you to help with a donation to keep his family on their feet while they push to make it through this difficult time. Please send prayers, hope, and positive vibes their way. A donation of any size helps, and as family and friends of Matt and Shera we thank you for taking the time to read this and for joining us with a donation to help lift some of the burden they face during this unfortunate hardship.
On behalf of Matty and his family, thank you for your ongoing support!!!
