Forrest, a well loved barber in our area has been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. This diagnosis is just one of the difficulties Forrest and her family have faced over the last few years.
After their daughter Noelle was born, Forrest had some complications with her health and was off work for 9 months.
In July of 2021, Forrest, Neil and their daughter Noelle moved to Nova Scotia, hoping to build a better life for their little family. They faced a few struggles out East. Including, difficulty making a go of barbering, starting a landscaping business and having to move a second time. They also discovered that their daughter Noelle is on the Spectrum for Autism.
Recently, Forrest noticed she was feeling more tired than usual. This led to a trip to the doctor and some very sad news. Cancer. Stage 2 Breast Cancer.
We are holding this fund raiser to help her family pay expenses as she fights the big fight. We are hoping to raise enough money to help them pay rent, childcare costs and pay some bills while she is off work. Barbers are self employed and as such don’t make money when they are unable to work. Fighting cancer is a full time job and having to stress about money doesn’t help. This financial relief will help her to focus on what is most important…… her health and her family.
Please help us help Forrest and provide her and her family some peace of mind while they focus on what is important. They would be so grateful for this gift. We are confident that with a little help from the community, she will come out the other side a survivor and get back to the work she loves. Making people feel good about themselves.
