I'm sure most of you know me, if not in person then through my Facebook posts... you probably know my story too. Former addict, former lots of not good things. To get to where I am today, I've worked hard, 7 days a week, working alongside as well as any man I know, staying sober. I have my own home, my own car, and my own business.

Went to the doctor with pretty good leg pain, back and forth with multiple sciatic pain diagnoses, to a CT scan, and was given a stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis. Three hospitals later, stage 4 bone, colon, and nerve cancer, and a rare form of sacrum cancer. Got kicked out because my insurance was out of the network. They told me in a nice way they didn't want me to have a big bill, LOL. Got that fixed; it starts December 1st, so just waiting for that to get my biopsy and go from there.

My surgeon wants to do daily radiation for 6 weeks to shrink the pretty large mass as much as possible before a two-day surgery to remove bones, colon, and nerves and install hardware. It's the most painful thing I've ever felt in my entire life. I can't bend over, I can't sit for long periods of time, I can't reach above my head, and I most certainly can't work. It's the most humbling, hurtful, embarrassing thing I could ever imagine for someone like me. I hate it, I just hate it. Never did I ever think in a million years this would be me. I'm so embarrassed, but at any rate, I want to try to stay comfortable in my home.

Which is always one thing after another. Just yesterday, I tried to plug a small heater in and blew the electric out through half my trailer. I have an electrician coming Friday; I can only imagine what that's going to cost. But I want to live in this home I worked so hard to buy. It's not pretty, but it's mine. I know when radiation starts, I won't be able to do much. At any rate, without straight-up asking for help, I guess at this point I have to. Even a dollar, I don't care, and I hope one day I live long enough to repay everyone's kindness. Much love for your prayers and any help. Thank you truly from my heart. If you only knew what it's like for someone like me to have to ask, I can't stop crying even posting this, but thank you, thank you, and thank you. Material things, I guess they never really matter; you can't take them with you, right? It's funny how a death sentence puts everything into perspective.
