20 years ago, after giving birth to her son, my beautiful bride Cristina was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. After surviving the surgery, radiation and chemo, she became a Foster Parent and later adopted her 2 young children. Years later, her and I met, fell in love, got married and my 2 kids joined the family. We became a family of 7.
Things were going great until cancer reered it's ugly head again. This time with a vengeance. This is when "THE PRIZE FIGHTER" in Cristina really came out swinging.
Two cancerous tumors once again took hold, and we were told she might make it to the end of the year if nothing was done. That was not going to happen. We found some great specialists at The Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion IL. Cristina needed immediate attention. After 10 long hours of pelvic and abdominal surgery, she is in recovery and will need time at home and time away from work. It's at this time we find ourselves in need.
We've started this gofundme page to ask for your support with Cristina's and my expenses while she recovers from her life changing surgery. As we both have physical jobs-- Cristina is a dedicated and hard working Sales Account Manager for Coca Cola. I am an automotive Advisor for Land Rover. With a family of 5 children, 3 kids in college, the expenses can and will mount very quickly.
We're seeking a total funding amount of $50,000 to help with medical expenses and help mitigate the loss of our incomes for the year ahead while Cristina makes a full recovery. Any and all contributions will be greatly appreciated, as Cristina, our children and I have a very long road ahead of us.
