Help for Author Cathy Yardley

I've started this fund to help my friend Cathy Yardley, a fellow author, mother, and editor who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. Cathy has been invaluable to me for years as a writing coach, editor, and frequent voice of reason.

In addition to being an author, Cathy is the founder of Rock Your Writing, a popular mentoring and editing service. In the seven years since starting her business in 2011, Cathy has helped numerous published and unpublished writers hone the craft of creating powerful stories.

Last year, as Cathy underwent two breast cancer surgeries and a course of radiation treatments, she was forced to stop working and to shut down Rock Your Writing. The loss of income for her family resulted in significant debt.

Though Cathy was covered by her husband's insurance, it failed to cover many of the incurred medical expenses. She and her family are now struggling financially to get back on track.

All funds donated to Cathy will go toward eliminating the medical bills of her cancer treatment and the other debts that piled up during her illness.
