On the way to watch her great-granddaughter at her gymnastics meet, my grandma was hit by an intoxicated driver who had no insurance. Their car is completely totaled, and she suffered a badly broken sternum along with severe bruising and pain.

My grandma already lives with several health issues, and this accident has put an even heavier burden on her body and on our family. What makes it even harder is that the driver who caused all of this walked away without insurance, leaving my grandparents with the medical bills, the loss of their car, and the stress of trying to recover during the holiday season.

We are hoping to come together to lighten their financial load to help with medical costs, transportation, medications, and anything else they will need as she heals. My grandparents are the type of people who show up for everyone, and now they’re the ones who need support.
