Delilah Kenny - Because

Delilah was a young mum who remained passionate in her belief that despite her terminal illness, what other people were going through mattered just as much. She was an incredibly kind, thoughtful and optimistic person and really understood how mental health can be as serious as physical. This is why RightLines has been chosen as Delilah's Memorial Fund.

RightLines aims to reach and work with young people aged between 13 and 35 who feel so overwhelmed that they are at risk of hurting themselves. This is a little understood part of mental health and RightLines works with young people to develop understanding of what is happening inside them, rediscover their inner strength and work out other ways of coping.

Its volunteers are drawn from socially aware, people-centred professions who enjoy working with young people and want to help them to create change. Volunteers include registered social workers, nationally qualified youth workers, registered counsellors, therapists, nurses and life coaches. This is offered at no charge to the young people who contact them.
