Denise is a woman you’re thankful to call a wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. An immensely kind and compassionate woman, she is truly beautiful inside and out. Denise is the type of person who gives generously, without expecting anything in return. A native Chicagoan hailing from the Southwest side, Denise is loved by all who know her. She attended Saint John Fisher and Mother McAuley High School before meeting the love of her life, Tracy, and laying down roots in the Southwest suburb of Orland Park.
In the spring of 2015, after searching for over a year for an explanation for the chronic weakness and pain she was experiencing, Denise was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a disease that ironically plagued a close lifelong friend just 4 years prior. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
As Denise and her family adjust to this new reality and the prospect of her worsening health, we are raising funds to assist this beautiful person during her fight – a fight to maintain her strength and courage, a fight to be there as long as possible with her son and daughter who need her, and a fight to offer her any support necessary so that she can face this disease with grace and dignity. For those who are close to Denise, you know that she is a very proud woman and would never ask others for anything. Therefore we are reaching out on her behalf. If you’re so inclined we humbly ask that you consider offering your financial support to ease her family’s financial burden. No gift is too small. Denise’s daily care needs and mounting health care costs will be increasingly difficult for her family to manage. Please consider helping this amazing family as they face this challenge.
