The York High Class of 78 has raised $1,400 to sponsor 10 Bearcat football players though the AFL program started by Coach Stoner. Challenging all York High Alumni, family & friends to increase the number of players sponsored by the Class of 78 beyond 10! The last update from Coach Stoner prior to the start of this GoFundMe was only 10 of 70 players were sponsored. Due to the Class of 78 exceeding the challenge that number is now 20 of 70 players sponsored. Still a long way to go to have all 70 sponsored! Initial challenge to YH Class of 78:
Coach Stoner and his staff are doing great things for the city of York through the AFL (Accountability for Life) program by molding the youth of York into young men. The program stresses Behavior Life Skills, Academics, Personal Growth, Benevolence, and Leadership through Sports. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to sponsor a player for $140 which go towards the purchase of each player's Spirit-Wear / Team Apparel. The goal here is to raise enough money to sponsor at least 8 players. I will match the first $280 donated so our class can at least sponsor four players at a total of $560 with the overall goal of raising $1,120 (8 players) or more! Through this program, Coach Stoner & his staff are increasing the numbers every year of the young men furthering their education by attending college. Appreciate any amount that you can donate!
