VMS Robotics

Hello everyone,

This is Riley Koenig and I am a part of one of two teams from Vallivue Middle School that qualified to attend the VEX WORLDS competition in Dallas, Texas in May. We were the only two middle school teams to be selected from Idaho. Our teams won not only the Excellence Award but also the Judge's Pick. While it is certainly an honor to be selected, it is a very expensive competition. Each of our teams will have to pay an $1,800 entry fee, not to mention all travel related expenses which will be about $1,000 per person. Our team has been raising money all year selling donuts before school. We would like to raise as much money as possible to not only pay our entrance fees but also to help make it more affordable for some kids that would otherwise be unable to attend. I have been lucky enough to attend this competition the last two years. It was an amazing and memorable experience that I will treasure. Part of the competition involves pairing with another team to get the best score. I have had the privilege of working with teams from all of the United States as well as China, Africa and the Czech Republic. I would appreciate any donation you are able to share. After the competition, I will send out a letter with photos and information about the competition. Thank you.
