Hi everyone,
I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beloved cat, Simba.
Simba is my orange American Shorthair, and he’s so much more than just a pet—he’s family. He’s the kind of cat who greets you at the door, curls up beside you when you’re having a tough day, and somehow always knows how to make you smile. His playful spirit and gentle nature bring so much light into my life.
Recently, Simba became very sick and was rushed to the emergency vet, where we learned he has a urethral obstruction, a life-threatening condition that prevents him from being able to urinate. Without immediate treatment, this condition can quickly become fatal.
He has already undergone emergency care, but unfortunately, the blockage is severe and likely to return. The veterinarians have told us that Simba now needs a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery, which will create a new urinary opening and prevent future blockages. This surgery is his best chance at living a long, healthy life.
The total cost of his treatment and surgery is $13,000—an amount that is incredibly overwhelming for me to handle alone.
Simba also has a sister, Lola, who has been noticeably affected by his absence. They are bonded, and since he’s been gone, she’s been quieter, searching for him, and clearly missing her brother. It’s heartbreaking to see how much she feels his absence—just another reminder of how deeply loved Simba is.
I am doing everything I can for Simba, but I need help. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward his medical care. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Simba has so much life left to live. He deserves more sunny naps, more playtime, and more moments of love—with me and with Lola.
Thank you for taking the time to read Simba’s story and for any support you can give—whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping him in your thoughts.
With gratitude,
Chamielle
