Help Nasr and his family survive

Who are we?

My name is Harriet Martin-Jones and I am a Masters student from Cardiff, Wales. This campaign is for my friend Nasr from Gaza City. Nasr and I met through a dear friend of mine, Ahmed.

I have set up this fundraiser as Nasr’s family supermarket has been destroyed in the bombardment, and the costs of food are astronomical. Funds raised will go towards food and supplies for Nasr and his family in order to survive the ongoing genocide as their primary source of income has been destroyed.

Hear from Nasr himself:

I am Nasr Ahmad Al-Yazji and my family consists of 9 members. Our only source of income was the supermarket, which was my father's lifelong dream. He built it step by step, year after year, until it was destroyed by the ruthless occupation, shattering not only my father's dream but also our family's livelihood. The supermarket used to be a beautiful place where my father, my brothers, and I spent our time together. We loved our work, and people loved my father for his kindness. But now, there's nothing left.

Years of hard work and sleepless nights were destroyed in a moment by the occupation. They also invaded our home, causing damage inside. The house has been open for about 4 months now, and we don't know if it's safe to return.

Let me tell you about my family. I'm a graduate of the Faculty of Interior Design Engineering. My handsome brother was studying accounting at the Islamic University, but education has been halted, and the university destroyed. He wants to continue his education abroad but can't afford to.

Now, let me talk about my two younger brothers, Yusuf and Kan'an. They grew up amidst the sounds of explosions and rockets. They don't deserve this hardship. As their elder brother, I can't provide for them. They suffer from malnutrition, lack of necessary medication, and contaminated water due to the difficult life we live.

What will the funds be used for?

Nasr is currently responsible for caring for his family of 9 people, including his siblings who have health problems from malnutrition. The funds will be used for:

• Food (flour, rice, vegetables when available)

• Firewood

• Medicines and medical supplies

• Water

• Displacement costs.

Target: The target is set at £10,000 for now, due to the massive costs facing people in Gaza, any changes to this goal will be communicated immediately. The funds will be deposited into my account and I will send them personally to Nasr.
