On June 15 Juan was driving on 4th Ave in Burien with his baby in the backseat and was shot and killed. Fortunately, the baby was unharmed. We do not know yet who shot him or any other details. His wife Edith is the aunt to several of my grandchildren. She has been a special person in our family since I met her when she was 14, and I cannot imagine what she is going through right now. We are raising funds to cover funeral costs, including the cost of sending his remains to his family out of the country, and to cover Edith's and the baby's living expenses for the time she will have to take off of work.

El 15 de junio, Juan estaba manejando por 4th Ave en Burien con su bebé en el carro cuando estaba asesinado a tiros. Afortunadamente, el bebé no resulto herido. Aún no sabemos quién le disparó ni otros detalles. Su esposa Edith es la tía de unos de mis nietos. Ella ha sido una persona especial en nuestra familia desde que la conocí cuando tenía 14 años, y no puedo imaginar lo que está pasando en este momento para ella.
