We are Michael's children who come to you asking for your help. He grew up in Minnesota where he spent summers with his cousins playing on the lake, fishing and running through the woods. Michael has always been an independent man who would give you the shirt off of his back. He worked hard his entire life to make a great life for his wife and his four children. Two years ago, Michael started having problems walking without assistance. He suffered through many ulcers, surgeries, and amputations. Just this year, over the last ten weeks, he has undergone three major surgeries. He no longer has the ability to walk or carry out daily functions as he was able to do before. He has a great amount of debt accrued due to all of this.
At this point, he may lose the home he shared with his wife of 40 years, the love of his life. The home he and his wife were to spend their retirement years in. He lost his wife, Lynn, five years ago to breast cancer. Life has not been kind to him since then. Michael is now a double amputee. His right leg was amputated below the knee and his left leg above the knee. He is facing ongoing rehabilitation therapy, medical visits, and the cost of prosthetics along with other expenses.
Mike is not one to ask for help as he has always been the one to offer and give help to those in need. Him starting a GoFundMe was a very difficult decision for him to make. In order for him to stay in his home and outfit it for his handicap, he will need a lot of help. All proceeds will go to pay his medical debt, daily expenses and equipping his home to fit his handicap needs. It is our wish that he will be able to do all of this with your help.
Mike would like to thank you and expresses his gratitude to any and all of you, family, friends, community, who are able and willing to help him in his greatest time of need.
