Max needs your help with urgent medical care donations

Max is a senior 5lb Yorkie that I rescued from Virginia.

Max has not had a very good life. I'm hoping to make it a little better.

Max has spent most of his life as a stud with a breeder; we all have heard horror stories about breeders.

We do not believe Max received any basic medical treatment, no vaccinations, no check-ups, and he is not neutered.

Then he was given to an elderly gentleman who was unable to care for Max properly and was kept in a crate.

I received Max about two weeks ago.

Max is in urgent need of 2 surgeries.

The most important one is his eye. He has a ruptured right eye that is leaking fluid; the eye needs to be removed before infection sets in.

He has an ulcer in his left eye that we are treating with eye drops and pain medication, hoping for it to heal.

The second surgery is for his mouth. Max only has his 4 canine teeth; the rest of his teeth are rotted down to the gums. His mouth is infected, and he needs surgery to remove the rotten teeth to clear up the infection.

The vet said his heart and lungs are strong, and he has a fighting chance, but without the surgeries, the infection will eventually spread through his little body, and he will die.

I have taken him to 2 vets and a pet emergency room.

The estimate for surgery to remove his eye is $2800 to $3300.

The estimate for the surgery to remove the rotten teeth is $1200 to $1500.

Up to now, I have put the vet bills on my credit card; now I need help with the surgery bills. He needs the surgeries ASAP.

I just would like to make him comfortable, pain-free, and give him a better life.
