Four days ago life looked very different for Jim, a hardworking, and active family man. A heart attack was the furthest thing on anyone’s mind - it seems like it’s always something you read about, but not thinking that it can happen to you.

Saturday my dad had 2 heart attacks, one at home and the other in the emergency room. A heart attack so strong and severe that he was rushed into the cath lab for an emergency stent and blockage repair that came with scary complications. The right side of my dads heart was blocked at 100%.

Thankfully, the procedure was successful, and by the power of prayer and the grace of God my dad has been given a precious second chance – a chance to see another sunrise, to spend more time with his loved ones, and hopefully to play some more softball and golf

Due to the low function that his heart is currently working at, he has to wear a cardiac life vest with a defibrillator in it for the next 90 days. The cardiac vest is prescribed for 90 days post-heart attack to protect you from sudden cardiac death during the highest-risk period while your heart recovers.
