Help With Funeral Costs

I organized this page on behalf of my father Frank Evangelista and his siblings Donna Panico, Michael Evangelista and Anthony Evangelista and these are his words:

 

We just interred my mother Margaret Evangelista at Glendale cemetery this morning. She was admitted to community hospital in Toms River a few weeks ago. She went in with Covid as did my brother and my moms twin sisters who she had guardianship over. Last Monday she was doing fine, and eating, then all of a sudden, she had cardiac arrest and she passed. When we got the death certificates it said she passed from sepsis. That doctor didn’t even mention the Covid, which she was diagnosed with by another doctor and he told her to go to the hospital. So now the family is ineligible for FEMA funeral aid. My mother had insurance, but there’s still a little matter of money (approximately 4,000.00 dollars we still owe.) My brothers and sister and myself are not rich by any means, especially in this day and age. I’m wondering if I can start a go fund me page to help pay the balance off, but I don’t know how to get one started. If anyone can help me I’d be eternally grateful. Whatever we raise above what we’re seeking to pay off her funeral expenses, we will donate to various charities. The Fema funeral aid would have covered the balance, but the doctor did not list cause of death from complications due to Covid. I’m not sure if we can appeal the death certificate and have it amended, but in the interim, we still owe the funeral home the balance. Please, if anyone can help, I will be very grateful. Just putting this out there and hopefully someone can help me.
