Hello everyone, my name is Aaron and I am raising funds for DESIGN FOR THE GOOD’s Aliya Children Development Center in Sri Lanka
This non-profit organization recently opened in April 2024 and provides children in need with basic education in a fun and safe environment.

Why I’m Doing This:
I've had the opportunity to travel the world and have encountered people in need in many countries. While in Sri Lanka, I met up with my Swiss friend Julia, whom I first met travelling in 2020. During the pandemic Julia used her artistic skills to host art exhibitions where she sold her art to launch DESIGN FOR THE GOOD.

In March, Julia toured me around the Children’s Development Center she was building. It was remarkable to see her efforts come to fruition after hearing about them over the last few years. I am in awe at what she has accomplished.

So I began thinking about ways I could support her and her vision.
What I’m Doing:
Knowing the value of physical health and free education and how a person can greatly increase their quality of life through both, I decided to put my own physical ability to the test.
I signed up for the 2024 Sask. Marathon on May 26th. Over the next month, I will be raising $1500 for the DESIGN FOR THE GOOD’s Children’s Development Center in Sri Lanka to promote education in youth.
Money fundraised will go towards school supplies and food for the children and help pay the salaries of the teachers and custodian.
$25 covers the cost of one child's fees for an entire month
$50 covers the cost of food for all the children for one day
If you would like to support me, Julia, and the children of Mattegoda that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support,
Aaron
