Yesterday Everett’s daddy and I were met with some potentially devastating news. After a trip to the ophthalmologist it was determined that baby Everett’s retina are detaching from the lens of his little eye. According to the eye doctor it could be one of two things: a rare genetic disease called norrie disease or tumors that are pulling at his retina that could be cancerous. We were referred to a specialist at Stanford University in Palo Alto and will be making the trip to California on Monday. It is undetermined how long Everett will need to be there and what will happen next. He will more than likely be undergoing a procedure on 9/1 to help his little eyes.
I have applied for lodging assistance through the bay area’a Ronald McDonald House and it isn’t looking promising at this point. They’re full and as I am unsure of what else to do I am asking our friends and family to please help with anything they can. Times are hard for everyone these days, please keep baby E in your thoughts.
Love.
