James "Jimbo" Hartley Cancer Fund

My name is John Carlson and the gentleman in this photo is James "Jimbo" Hartley my step father of 20 years.

James is one of the most genuine people that I have ever met in my life. He would give everything for his friends and family to be happy no matter the costs. Jimbo has always thought of everyone else before himself, and is a joy to be around in every way.

Throughout the 20 years of Jimbo being in my life he has made a HUGE impact in the man I have become today. Without him I have no clue what my life would have ended up like, and for this I will be eternally grateful he is my step father. 

About two weeks ago Jimbo was out in Wyoming working, and strained himself to a point of having 2 hernias arise. Upon arriving at the hospital to receive treatment, they discovered Jimbo had 2 cancerous tumors on his liver. This was officialy diagnosed about 3 days ago, and our family is working to find a way to make sure we do all we can to help Jimbo be healthy again. 

The unfortunate part of things is Jimbo did not have health insurance at the time, and doctor appointment, treatment, medication, etc etc are going to get uber expensive. Noone expects these things to happen, but when they do you have to find a way survive. 

Jimbo will be having to travel to San Antonio, TX for treatments. This will also get expensive as my mother and Jimbo live 3 hours away. The expenses are already adding up and we have not began treatment. 

We are very thankful for any donations this will bring us. Every little bit is going to be a huge help for the battle our family is going to endure.
