Vet care for Rex

Rex is my dog. I adopted him a few years ago. He had a rough life before me. He was attacked by other dogs and didn't fight back. He was left by a few different family's all before he turned 3 years old. He is scared of a lot of things and has trust issues. I rescued him from the local animal shelter.

He has been nothing but a sweet and loving dog who just wanted to be cared for. I am so lucky I have him in my life and I don't want to loose him.

He's has been instrumental in helping me get better though all my mental and physical disabilities Because of everything that is wrong with me. it's been hard to find steady work. Because of that I don't know how I am going to pay for Rex's medical care he needs right now.

Rex has a blood bubble type blister that has gotten worse. he's able to do things like normal, but it could pop or rupture at any time now. So he's going to be looked at soon, but he might need surgery as well. I hope he's going to be okay. So hopefully we can raise enough money to pay for the necessary treatments and possible surgery

Updated today 9/17. Rex had a quick intimal vet visit to get the exact information on what he needs done.

Turns out Rex will indeed need surgery. He has a skin tumor that could possibly come back. It's called Hemangiosarcoma. More than likely he will have to get stiches. Antibiotics and pain medication. There will be follow ups because of the probability that it can come back.

Majority of the funds raised will go to the vet and all the treatments, lab test and surgical procedure. The rest will be for his medication he will need. He'll have to get a sun shirt to prevent and further damages to the affected area.
