This time last year we were , like the rest of the nation so in awe of Captain Sir Tom Moore's incredible fundraising achievement, that we decided to dedicate the next 100 of our #ThankYouNHS hampers that were sponsored to a hospital of his choice on his 100th Birthday.
We had just over 2 weeks to get all the hampers sponsored, £70 each (to tie in with the NHS's 70th anniversary theme) but, we were blown away by the support we received, that we in fact, managed to get a total of 150 hampers sponsored, 100 of which we delivered to Bedford Hospital and the extra 50 to Harrogate District Hospital the following day.
With the launch of #CaptTom100 we're attempting to do it again, with a target of 101 hampers on what would have been Captain Sir Tom's 101st Birthday.
We have been running our not for profit #ThankYouNHS Hamper initiative since July 2018 with a goal of delivering 70 hampers per hospital to 70 hospitals around the UK, reaching thousands of NHS staff at all levels.
To date we have completed 8 of 70 hospitals with over 620 hampers now delivered and over 30,000 locally sourced treats delivered.
As simple as they are, these hampers really do help raise the spirits and morale of staff who, over this past year have probably faced the most challenging of days in their entire careers and we have witnessed first hand on many occasions how grateful the recipients are, with your support we can reach thousands more staff within the next few weeks.
Some of our deliveries have been featured on ITV & BBC news along with GMB . If successful, we would love to dedicate the 101 hampers to the hospital which is caring for Kate Garraway's husband Derek. So please help make this a reality and help us spread some joy, you can contribute from as little as £1.
