For Christina's Memorial Dog Cottage

Donation protected
UPDATE - PLEASE READ - Christina died on 9/25/23. Your donations of $60,000 allowed her to seek alternative treatment in Arizona for two months, it allowed her to do hyperbaric treatment for relief in pain along with many other treatments , you helped her pay her high insurance deductibles while she couldn’t work, your help made a difference in her world. I don’t want to start a new fundraiser because I want her journey to show here. Everything moving forward will build a memorial cottage at NW Dog Project. If we raise more funds than needed, we will build more. She LOVED being there and wanted to return there so bad. She will return in memory of … PLEASE CONTINUE TO HELP AND SHARE. ***** Christina was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2021 and was told after all the tests, scans and biopsies that she had the best case scenario with just a small lump in one breast and clear lymph nodes - a little surgery and she'd be right as rain. Well, January rolls around and Christina is rushed to the hospital. After many more tests, scans, biopsies and a 4-day stay at the hospital she was told that it had spread to her bones. As the special girl Christina is, of course she has the rare scenario of cancer skipping past her lymph nodes and even getting cancer in the first place when she is a young (34), healthy and very toxin-conscious person.

Now knowing everything that we know Christina is, respectfully, choosing the more natural remedies to let her body heal itself, as all bodies have the capability to do, instead of the traditional "medicines" which health insurance seems to only cover. Christina is one to never really ask for help. Those of you that know her know this to be true. You tell her she can't do something, she is most likely to do it. To prove it to herself but more so to prove it to you. A great example is when we were in the hospital getting the results of all her tests and the doctor told her this isn't a treatment plan to cure anymore, it's a palliative management plan that we have to think about. She almost laughed at the doctor and as soon as he left she said, "watch, I'll show him!"

As I was saying, Christina is never one to ask for help but a little help can go a long way. With a high out-of-pocket deductible to be met and with health insurance not recognizing many of the treatments Christina is looking for, it makes paying these bills harder and harder one after another. This journey's financial, physical, and emotional burden is weighing heavily on her. So, we are asking friends, family and strangers alike to see if there is any wiggle room in your budget to lend Christina to help her through this temporary journey that she is on.

With love and gratitude,
Her love Brian
