Melissa’s Fight For Life

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I’m trying to raise some money to help with my mothers medical/rehabilitation expenses. She suffered a traumatic brain injury December 26th due to a motor vehicle accident. This injury has left her with the inability to care for herself. She is currently on a ventilator and is unable to move her extremities, or communicate at this time . She will require extensive therapy in order to regain these functions. This will include occupational , physical, cognitive, and speech therapy among many other things . Our family would like to provide her with every opportunity for a full recovery.

Traumatic brain injuries unfortunately take time to recover from. We are looking at anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. We come to you all and humbly ask for your help. Rehabilitation is the key to her success. She is currently at an acute care facility where they are working on weaning her from the ventilator. We are in hopes she will improve enough neurologically to qualify for an acute rehab facility and then hopefully home.
