Emergency help to Support Lung Transplant
Donation protected
As-salamu alaykum, dear brothers and sisters.
My name is Mohammad Adnan (Sohel), and I'm reaching out to you on behalf of a family that my family knows for a long time.
Please take a few minutes out of your busy life and read the message below. I am writing this letter to seek your kind support and generous help.
In December of last year, a family of four came to Chicago from Dhaka as international students for better education, opportunities, and an overall better lifestyle.
Very unfortunate but last month, the head of the household (Ashaf Ul Hakim) was hospitalized with severe lung disease and infection. The doctors suggested that the only option was to perform a Lung Transplant. Since then, his health further deteriorated and now put on a ventilator. As the head of the household, being hospitalized for several months brought the family into a dire financial situation. The doctors advised that he would be hospitalized for at least another 10-12 months, or maybe more. A lung transplant will not be performed until his health condition improves, which may take another three to four months.
Altogether, it is a very long process before he can come back to the workforce. In the meantime, his family needs to survive and support his medical treatment.
Hakim has been blessed with two boys (17 and 12 years), Alhamdulillah! The elder boy is also looking for a job to support the family in this critical time, which brought tears to my eyes.
In this blessed month of Ramadan, I am humbly requesting you to donate generously to assist this family. Please reach out to me if you would like to donate monthly or discuss any other options.
Your financial help will greatly and positively impact this educated family and help them survive during this difficult situation. I would suggest we refrain from publishing this 'gofundme' campaign on any Social media.
The family will be forever grateful for your timely support. I would be happy to share more and discuss this further if need be.
