Hey there and thank you for taking the time to look over this campaign it means a lot! I sat here for quite a while debating on whether or not I should do this, but here I am. Unfortunately, most of my camera equipment was stolen during a photo shoot. So the goal of this is to raise just enough money to recover some of those items.
It's funny how life got me to this point since two years ago I built the courage to finally buy a camera and give this whole thing a go. Now, its become a passion of mine and a welcomed one at that since working in the music and audio industry kinda killed my original creative outlet which was music. Its been liberating and stimulating to be able to create at the level I was and there's so much more room to grow.
But here's the hard part is, I'd love to continue to create at the level I was and beyond and as we all know, living paycheck to paycheck complicates that a bit. So recouping a lot of this gear would set me back for a good amount of time as I save up to buy back the things I lost. I want to maintain that "wave" of creativity I've been riding for the last few months. I want to continue inspiring other creatives and myself, empowering my subjects/models, and creating amazing experiences and memories with everyone I encounter.
Like I mentioned earlier it was very hard for me to create this campaign, I've come to the conclusion that I can't do this on my own. I was always taught that you need to work hard and fight for the things you want in life and that nothing good is really easy. So asking for help was the last thing on my mind. My initial reaction was to not trouble any of my family, friends, followers, or fellow creatives with a burden that has happened to me alone. But between a supportive community and a little self reflection, I've realized that I need some help from anyone who is willing.
My main goal is to at least buy a new MacBook Pro in order to do my editing. The second objective would be to buy the lenses and studio flash equipment that I lost as well. I aim to buy everything used or refurbished; I just want to purchase what I lost. Although camera equipment and computers are expensive, I set the goal somewhat high. Probably more than what I would need, but I want to also pay this forward. A lot of people go through hardships like this and I would love to be able to help out people in need since I'm receiving so much support myself. So, any leftover money will be donated forward.
