Whalers Peninsula Community Association is not for profit and Non- Government funded organisation, and a registered charity (for tax purposes)
Whalers Peninsula needs your help to continue helping others in need.
WPCA is about helping people in need SURVIVE...
this includes people who are:
* HOMELESS
* People in need of FOOD
* People on a low INCOME
* In need of furniture and clothing
* Leaving a domestic violence situation
The world of homelessness seems very far from yours or mine but in some sense it is closer than you think, For any of us the loss of a job, the death of a spouse, relationship breakdown or a disability could be the road to total despair.
Mary Mcinnes is the volunteer manager of Whalers Peninsula Community Association and has witnessed all these types of tragedies throughout her years of working with the homeless.
Mary has been volunteering her time to assist and support the people in need on the Fleurieu for over 20 years. Her passion is helping people who need it the most.
Mary has received numerous awards for her work including the Women of Achievement from Zonta in 2009, The Premiers award for South Australia for her contribution to supporting people on low incomes and homelessnes.
All money raised through this go fund me page will assist in keeping Whalers Peninsula's doors open and create sustainability in an area with minimal support services.
