Supporting Morgan

Story

A few weeks ago, my beautiful sister Morgan received a terrifying diagnosis of stage 3A bowel cancer. As you can imagine, this has come as an incredible shock to her and our family, as she is an otherwise healthy and vibrant 41-year-old. To those of us that love her, she is the epitome of human sunshine and the first person to lift up those around her. She is beyond precious to us. She is incredibly strong, and will fight this with the resilience and grace for which she is famous. While the outlook is very positive, the next few months will be tough. She has undergone a successful but very extensive surgery, and will now go on to a months-long course of preventative chemotherapy where she will be unable to work. She has been touched by the outpouring of love and support by her friends and loved ones, and the number of people who have reached out wanting to help. In lieu of flowers and food, we created this page as a way to help rally the support of her village and ease some of the financial burden of this time including daily living expenses while she isn't able to work, medical costs including fertility preservation and post-treatment IVF, and support around the house. All donations will go directly towards helping make this incredibly difficult period a little easier. With love, The Maguire/Hoey Family
