Please help the Mitchell’s

Hello all.

This fundraiser is for Greg Mitchell. Greg is a veteran and an outstanding member of the community. He is always here for anyone at any time.

Greg was in a very bad motorcycle accident on Friday, July 15th, 2022. Greg sustained multiple bone breaks and spinal fractures. He is heavily sedated and on a ventilator because they don’t want him moving. He’ll open his eyes when you talk to him, and squeeze your hand so his mind is present and we are grateful for no head trauma. He has already gone through multiple surgeries to control internal bleeding and other issues. Doctors will start the surgeries on his legs and once done he will have a minimum of 8 weeks of non-weight bearing on the right leg and 8 to 12 weeks on left. He also sustained burns from the accident that will require surgery at a later date.

With the multiple pelvic surgeries, we know it will be a minimum of 12 weeks of non-weight bearing and Greg will be in a wheelchair. Their home will also need accommodations to help Greg.

His body has endured so much that it’s impossible to wrap our minds around it, but he is strong-willed and hard-headed (as proven by no head trauma) and with time, grace, love, and support he will be whole again.

The purpose of this is to help with any expenses Greg and Kelli will need. They have so many unknown things in front of them. Any amount is a blessing.

We are grateful Greg is responded well to surgeries and we hope and pray for a very successful recovery.
