This handsome face is José. We met in 2020 and I always knew he was just one of those horses that was meant for me. In the fall of 2024 I got a call he could come home. Never in a million years did I think I’d get to bring home the horse that helped me find… well, me. Since he’s been home we’ve been rehabbing and working hard to put on healthy weight and muscle. On April 11 he was diagnosed with a mass of melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma. At the young age of 12 years old he needs intense life saving surgery to remove these melanomas and carcinomas. With this diagnosis we were told he’d have to be put down come October. This horse is one in a million, greets you at the gate, asks for snuggles and is always happy to see you. We are in need of some support to get him healthy and give him more than 6 months. He deserves to be fought for. These funds will not only cover the cost of his surgery but also his after care. He will be on meds and need rehab and recovery. Thank you for your support!
