Cancer related costs

Donation protected
As many of you know in late November I was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma that had metastasized to my lymph nodes. I had lymph node dissection surgery which was a success and the cancerous nodes were removed. I have been on immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks since February. I just completed my 6 month scan which showed a new lesion in the area of my right hip bone. I am scheduled for a litany of scans and possible surgery in the coming weeks to find out if this new lesion is cancer and then finding a new approach to treatment as keytruda infusions are likely not working. I haven’t worked since December. I was on unemployment briefly but that ran out. I was approved for disability but it will be months before I start seeing payments from that. What funds I had saved are gone. I can’t get a loan because I don’t have any income. It’s just an all around mess. Getting sick shouldn’t be a cause of financial ruination, but I’m learning a lot on this journey as to how difficult getting sick is in ways you’d never imagine until it happens to you. If you can help out that would be great. If not I get it, it’s tough out there.

All my best & Thanks

Neil
