TOP SURGERY!

Donation protected
Hey y’all! It’s about that time. I’ve been thinking a good bit about this and it’s time. I’ve been transitioning since June 2015. Started in the Coast Guard before it was legal to do so. Now, I’m loud, proud, and happy to be me. It’s been a long road getting from there to here. Im ready for my next step on the path of personal identity.

You may be asking yourself, why am I asking for 11,000 dollars?
Great question! Like any cosmetic and gender affirming surgery, I want to make sure that my body is in good hands. I want to make sure that I have a good surgeon who will take care of me. I also want to make sure that most of the postop care is taken care of.

Why am I doing this now as opposed to when I first started transitioning?
Well, when an adult hormonally transitions from male to female, breast tissue and the surrounding skin are not as developed as they would be if it started to develop during childhood puberty. I would not physically have enough skin to have an implant. They would have to stretch my skin in order for the implant to have a good look to them and to have a lesser chance of stitches ripping, stretch marks, etc. I have enough breast tissue and skin for an easy time during surgery.

Why should you give your money to me?
I joined the military 1 year before Dont Ask Don’t Tell we repealed. I started hormonally transitioning 1 year before it was legal to do so in the military. I shot for a dream to work in the film industry and learned that it wasn’t what I wanted for my life. Now, I work in mental health; I’m a student learning to be a therapist; I help co-manage a queer she/they kickball league which has grown so much and is the first place I’ve ever felt part of a community. My sense of responsibility to my community has helped shape the person I am today. The person I am today is the kind of person I would feel safe with when I was a child.

If you would be so kind as to donate to my top surgery fund, I will heavily thank you. If I see you in person, I’ll thank you in person. If I can’t see you in person, I’ll email you. If you pay over $100 or more, I’ll personally paint you a painting and give it to you as a thank you. This means so much to me in ways that only a select few could possibly understand. To feel at home in one’s own body and see the vision made real cannot be properly verbally expressed.

If you donate, or just share this to someone else, I am eternally grateful. Live long and prosper.
